Update Alpha 1.4 is Here!


KNOCK, KNOCK. UPDATE 1.4 IS HERE!

Releasing 2 days early, I'm happy to announce that Knock, Knock. version Alpha 1.4 is now available for free download!

Along with some small visual tweaks, performance improvements and small bug fixes, here are the new features you can expect to see on your next playthrough:

THE GENIE



THE FOLLOWING NOTES WERE FOUND WITHIN THE FACILITY IN RELATION TO THE GENIE:


"Not much is known about this creature, but it seems to be separate, at least in agenda, to the Monster. It seems to have its own conscience and personality, with motives unknown as of yet. 
What we do know is that the Genie has at least some control over the facility, and seems to be non-hostile. 
If a Genie is found behind a door, it will attempt to scare whoever opened it, seemingly just for fun, and turn off the lights momentarily before disappearing and creating a brick wall in place of itself. Any further attempt to interact with that same door has yielded no results so far.
There seems to be a correlation between the Genie and the sound of knocking, however we are yet to determine this link. 
The Genie is capable of speech, however seems to keep this to a minimum. 
Whether the Genie is a physical entity is still unknown, with the only visual indicator of its presence being its singular glowing eye. Whether there is more to this creature's biology is still to be uncovered. 
It seems, for now at least, that we have no choice other than to trust this creature and try to learn as much about it as we possibly can."


ADDITIONAL CHAMBERS

According to our findings, more types of Chambers have been appearing throughout the facility, seemingly at random. This is surely the work of the Monster, but we cannot determine the motive behind this behaviour. 

For now, at least, these new Chambers seem to pose no threat, but also no purpose. The only Chamber that seems even remotely significant is the Office, but we already knew about that. The Ticket that can be acquired in the Office still seems to have no obvious purpose, even when introduced to the new Chambers. 

That is not to say that there is no correlation, we just need to gather more data before making any final hypotheses. 

The new Chambers that seem to have appeared are as follows:

ELEVATOR ROOM

"There is a room, similar in size to the Office, containing nothing but a leather sofa and two elevators, or the doors to them at least. There is light, and one would therefore assume that there is power, emitting from the elevator calling buttons, however nothing we do with these buttons seem to yield any results whatsoever. This makes sense, in a way, as both elevators seem to be covered in warning tape, as if out of order in some way. Further data needed."

Although admittedly disappointing, there seem to have been no new developments in the Chambers already documented, (POOL, OFFICE, HALLWAY) so we are standing by to see whether any developments occur. 

The Elevator Room Chamber is the only documented (albeit with very little information) Chamber to have newly appeared, however we theorize that there will surely be more to come. 

There have been reports of some sort of long, hotel hallway-like Chamber with a worrying number of doors, as well as rumours of a "Locker Room", however these are yet to be confirmed.
